Naivety Is Armor.

Naivety Is Armor.

Ulises Vargas

September 30, 2025.

They know not,

And want not to know

Their little world

Is fragile and sheltered

War has no place

In the garden of butterflies

And the ugly truths

Are their blasphemy

Would not you, too, prefer

To live a beautiful lie

Than to see clearly

And crave blindness?

Ignorance is a fine cope

And, truth be told,

Sometimes I, too,

Want to rip my eyes out
